About 25 years ago, Shawn and Jane Kieffer found their perfect home in the quaint Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City. The 100-year-old house on a corner lot had charm, history, and plenty of space for a growing family.
But one thing never quite worked: the kitchen.

As construction began, the crew uncovered a 1,000-gallon oil tank buried in the backyard—a relic from the home’s early days. Luckily, it was empty. We coordinated the removal quickly and kept the project on track without unnecessary delays.

In the end, Shawn and Jane got the kitchen they had imagined for years. The new space, measuring 800 square feet, was flooded with natural light thanks to a wall of large windows lining the back of the addition.
