Local Details To Know Before Your Consultation
Shawnee is only about 10 to 20 minutes by car from our Kansas City, KS office, so we can usually set your free in-home design consultation for a day and time that suit you.
Shawnee’s homes split almost evenly into thirds: roughly one-third were built from 1950 to 1979, another third from 1980 to 1999, and the rest since 2000.
- Mid-century ranches and split-levels, 1950s–1970s — Many of these kitchens are still closed off from the living room, and the hall bath may have its original tile, tub and a narrow vanity. Before we design, we check the electrical panel, plumbing and bath ventilation, then look at options like widening a kitchen doorway or swapping the tub for a low-threshold shower.
- 1980s and 1990s two-stories — Oak cabinets, bulkheads over the uppers, laminate or tile counters and a big garden tub in the primary bath are typical. Homeowners often ask us to take out the bulkheads, add more storage and better lighting, and turn that tub space into a larger tiled shower.
- Homes built since 2000 — The layouts generally work, but builder-grade cabinets, entry-level counters and molded shower surrounds are starting to show their age. Most projects center on upgraded cabinetry and surfaces, a better-planned island and custom tile in the baths.
Our team also remodels kitchens and bathrooms in nearby Lenexa, Overland Park, Bonner Springs, and Kansas City, KS.

I would not hesitate to use them again!…
We were extremely happy with everyone from Jericho! They gave us a projected timeline and stuck to it! Our salesmen, Chad and Zac, were thorough and prompt. Our project manager, BJ, was meticulous and kept us updated. Our installer, Donald, was timely and efficient. The quartzite team (Lance, Josh and Sam) paid attention to detail. The wood finishers, Terry and Aaron, were precise and detail-oriented. All of these men were friendly, hard workers who we were pleased to have work on our project! I would not hesitate to use them again! Thanks to all!!!
Exceeded our expectations
The quality of the work done overall exceeded our expectations. Jericho provides great professionals to work with throughout the entire project. The customer service, responsiveness, and professionalism went above and beyond. Everyone we encountered did what they said they were going to do, when and how they said they were going to do it.
Each person that was involved in our remodel did an exceptional job of responding to our calls and answering any questions that we had. The main installer, Jim, was exceptionally kind and most respectful. He expressed care and concern in his job and went beyond the highest expectations. We were very hesitant to start this project, due to previous bad experiences with subcontractors, but we are so glad we went with Jericho. I would recommend Jericho to anyone who is in the market for home improvement.
Would definitely recommend Jericho and Greg to do home renovations….
Had a small bathroom renovated by this company. Our installer Greg did an amazing job! The whole room is perfect. He was kind and respectful. Cleaned up after himself every day. If he had concerns or needed to do something a little different he always let us know. Would definitely recommend Jericho and Greg to do home renovations.
